Stitching Workshop, Display & Talk

Acclaimed textile artist, Deborah Mullins returns to Leeds for this special event, which includes:
an introductory workshop to Palestinian stitching techniques;
a display of Palestinian textile artefacts and Palestinian-inspired embroidery;
a presentation on a Halifax community cross-stitch project linked with a group in a Palestinian refugee camp in Bethlehem;
tea and refreshments.

Palestinian goods on sale.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Bring basic sewing kit, all materials provided.  To book your place go to Eventbrite.

Cost: £10 (£5 students / low income).

There is a concessionary rate for those undertaking the workshop who wish also to see the film. This is £2.50 in addition to the payment for the workshop (e.g. £10 paid for the workshop plus £2.50 for film ).

Savoury Middle Eastern snacks will be available for sale between the workshop and the film.
